Jesus Santiago starts by pulling the fan blade and removing the mounting screws, then sets the new motor next to the old one to compare. The replacement is slightly bigger, so he makes sure the mounting and rotation line up before snugging everything down.

Because this is a factory condenser motor, it isn’t reversible. That keeps the swap simple: same rotation, same mounting, and the same wiring path. He routes the new leads through the factory wiring and also chooses to replace the capacitor so the new motor starts out with a fresh cap. Then it’s time to test.
