What we are looking for in a Team member:

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work with the engineering manager and our team to develop and implement world-class mechanical designs for both our existing products as well as future products. Applicant will be expected to work under the direct supervision of the engineering manager designing dehumidification systems. This position will impact and shape our future success. We are looking for someone self-motivated, positive, and excited about making an impact, innovations and world-class designs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design custom dehumidification systems

– Utilize in house design software, vendor/manufacturer software, and SolidWorks

– Create production drawings.

– Hold design review meetings with manufacturing team before releasing drawing package to manufacturing

– Review, update and manage project documentation and BOM

Creating submittal packages for final customer approval

– Select & size mechanical components like coils, condensing units, blowers, heaters using manufacturer selection software and vendor resources

– Created in Adobe Pro PDF

Involvement in R&D and NPD projects

Write procedures and production standards

Capture continuous improvement needs and create action plans

Assist field service & customers with technical questions & engineering support

Basic Qualifications:

BS Engineering Degree from accredited college or university

Minimum 5-years of experience in a mechanical engineering role

Advanced level expertise in Solidworks

Experience designing sheet metal parts and assemblies

Working knowledge of HVAC or refrigeration systems

Good technical writing skills

Self-motivated, engaged, team-oriented, and strategic thinker with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision

A passion for doing quality work. High attention to detail

The ability to think critically, innovate, and solve challenging technical problems

Capacity to handle pressure

Strong work ethic, and the ability to handle peak work times

Fosters a positive working environment

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of experience designing HVAC or Refrigeration systems

3+ years designing sheet metal parts and assemblies

3+ years designing structural assemblies

Strong understanding of thermodynamics & psychrometrics

Load calculation software experience (FEA, CFD, etc)

Refrigeration system design experience

Able to independently perform HVAC system design calculations, duct and pipe sizing and routing, detail system design of Commercial and Industrial HVAC system involving heat load calculations

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint

LEAN, 6S and solid problem-solving experience

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: 5-10 years

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000

Benefits: 401K matching, health insurance, paid time off, sick time leave, professional development assistance, team building events, team lunches, bonuses/awards given based on individual and company performance, 4-day work week.

Hours: Mon – Thurs (40 hours). OT expected when required. Minimal remote work. Travel is rare (5%).

Work Authorization: US citizen or permanent resident holder.
